Obituary

Aaron Glenn Manney, age 91, of Wyalusing, PA passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at his home in Park Place Apartments.

Aaron was born on May 25, 1926 in Shamokin, PA the son of the late Claude and Guennie Price Manney. He served his country in the US Army during World War II. He was employed as a Machinist for over 30 years at Tedeco Industrial in Glenolden, PA.

Aaron married the former Shirley Davies on November 20, 1948 and they lived in Boothwyn, PA until her passing on January 4, 1991. After his wife passed, Aaron moved to Stevensville, PA to be closer to his son, Craig, and his family.

He attended Braintrim Baptist Church for over 25 years. Aaron loved attending church, reading the Bible, and listening to WPEL's radio station. He loved to spend time with his family, especially following his grandchildren with musical performances and sports.

Aaron is survived by his daughter-in-law, Laurie Manney of Stevensville, PA; his grandchildren, Josh Manney and his wife Gwen of Malvern, PA, Tim Manney of South Portland, ME, and Becca Sipper and her husband John of Hanover Twp., PA; his great-grandchildren, Caleb and Ellie Manney of Malvern, PA; his brother Russell Manney and his wife Grace of Shamokin, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and his parents, Aaron was preceded in death by his son, Craig Manney on August 18, 2002, and his siblings David Manney, Claude Manney, Griffith Manney, Lamar "Barney" Manney, Thelma Manney, Violet Knecht, and Doris Reitz.

Funeral services for Aaron will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 12:00 noon from the Sheldon Funeral Homes, 155 Church St., Wyalusing, PA with Reverend Dick Camp officiating. Interment will follow at the Northumberland Memorial Park in Sunbury, PA. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:30 until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Aaron's name to the Wyalusing Public Library, PO Box 98, Wyalusing, PA 18853, or to the Wyalusing Valley Museum Association, PO Box 301, Wyalusing, PA 18853, of the Braintrim Baptist Church, PO Box 281, Laceyville, PA 18623.
