Obituary

A.B. Stephens, Jr., age 81, of Camptown, PA passed away Tuesday morning, July 12, 2016 at his home.

He was born on June 2, 1935 in Sayre, PA the son of the late Alburn B. Stephens, Sr. and Alice Starr.

A.B. was an owner and operator of Stephens Logging with his son, Dean. He worked in construction to help build the Elk Lake and Northeast Bradford Schools, as well as some of the bridges in the area. He was also employed with Masonite as a Foreman. When he was younger he moved to Texas to work on the railroad with his father.

He enjoyed traveling especially to Florida and Texas to visit his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He thoroughly enjoyed raising cows. He loved his dog, Winston, and most of all spending time with his family.

A.B. is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce E. Brink Stephens of home; his children and spouses, Phyllis and Mac McDonald of Wesley Chapel, FL, Dean and Cathy Stephens of Wyalusing, PA, and Janet and Jason Otis of Terrytown, PA; his grandchildren Sean Manahan of Florida, Skye McDonald of Florida, and Domanick Otis of Terrytown, PA; his great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Anamarie, and Isaiah; his siblings and spouses, Carol Sherman of Colorado, Connie and Robert Riveire of Texas, Cloyd Starr of Florida, and Judy and Terry Roensch of Florida; his sister/brother-in-laws, Mary Ann Karpovich of Dushore, PA, Glen and Jo Ann Brink of Camptown, PA, and Sally Brink of Camptown, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alburn B. and Ann Stephens, Sr. and Alice and Ralph Starr; his sisters and spouses, Lillian and Clarence Wise, and Nancy and Jim Satterlee; his brother and spouse, Rick and Debbie Starr; his brother/sister-in-law, Lyall and Ann Brink; and his brother-in-law Raymond Brink.

It was A.B.'s request to have a private family graveside service at the convenience of the family at the Camptown Cemetery.
