Alice Marie Malone, 83, passed away peacefully at Blue Palms Health and Rehab Center on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 following a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

She was born in Springville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Clifford and Erma LaRue. She graduated from Elk Lake High School, Elk Lake, PA.

Alice worked for many years as a bank teller and was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in DeBary, Florida where she loved helping out in the office and assisting with spaghetti dinners for those less fortunate.

Above all else, her most favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family. She enjoyed the simple things in life. Alice had such a kind heart and was always willing to lend a listening ear to those who needed it. She loved baking, going to garage sales, and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph Malone; her two daughters and sons-in-law, Barb and John Besong, DeBary, Florida, and Diane and Dan Stauffer, DeLand, Florida; three grandchildren, Derek, Danielle, and Devin Stauffer; several sisters and brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews and dear friends.\

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Arlene Darsky.

A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at St. Joachim's Catholic Church, 163 Church Road, Meshoppen, PA 18630. Burial will be at St. Joachim's Cemetery in Meshoppen, PA after the service. Following the burial, there will be a luncheon for family and friends at the Fireplace Restaurant, 6157 US-6, Tunkhannock, PA  18657.
