Loving and devoted wife and mother, Anne C. Borel, age 87, of Spring Hill Road, Laceyville, PA passed away Tuesday morning, June 14, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock, PA.

She was born in Riverside, NJ the daughter of the late Alexander and Anna Yudziak Cosky. She graduated from St. Casmir's High School in New Jersey with the class of 1945.

Anne married her husband, Howard B. Borel, Jr. on November 15, 1947. Together they were married for 67 years before he passed away on September 15, 2015. Anne and Howard began their marriage in New Jersey, where they both grew up, then moved to Pennsylvania in the summer of 1971. Anne was a housewife and homemaker for their seven children. She also helped her husband in his business, Borel Builders, as a secretary and bookkeeper.

She was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. She was devoted to reciting the Rosary daily. She thoroughly enjoyed collecting antiques and even worked for Jerry Burke and Shamrock Auctions for 10 years. She loved to spend time with and pray for all of her family.

Anne is survived by her children, Howard "Buddie" Borel, III and wife Rosemary of Nevada City, CA, Mark Borel and wife Joanne of Beverly Hills, FL, Stephen Borel of Meshoppen, PA, Anne Marie Bluhm and husband Keith of Laceyville, PA, Michael Borel and wife Lisa of Wyalusing, PA, Mary Anne Zaner and husband John of Laceyville, PA, and Rose Mary Borel of Lake Carey, PA; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Doris Ward of Delran, NJ. Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Chad Anthony Watson, sister, Stella Hoffman, brother-in-law, Raymond H. Borel, sister-in-law, Betty Hunter, and father and mother-in-law Bessie and Howard Borel, Sr..

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church on June 20, 2016 at 10:00 AM with Father Joseph Manarchuck officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joachim's Cemetery in Meshoppen, PA. Family and friends may call at Sheldon Funeral Homes, 155 Church St., Wyalusing, PA on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 8:00 PM.
