Anthony “Tony” Paul Tyler, 64, of Clayton, NC, formerly of Meshoppen, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at SECU Hospice House of UNC Health Johnston in North Carolina.

Tony was born on June 27, 1962, in Meshoppen, PA, to the late Charles Ray Tyler, Sr. and Rose Marie (Teel) Minotti. He attended Elk Lake High School.

Tony was a hardworking and independent man who spent much of his life working as a truck driver and mechanic. He owned and operated T’s Milk Hauling and was also employed with Central East Services, taking great pride in his work and the relationships he built along the way. He had a passion for semi-truck racing and traveled to Ohio, Michigan, Texas, and Canada, where he had the opportunity to drive one of the trucks.

Tony was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Clayton, NC, and the Roman LeRay Franklin Masonic Lodge #418, formerly Franklin Lodge #263.

He will be lovingly remembered by his spouse, Joan Van De Mark; his children, Anthony “Tony” Tyler (Lovey) of Tunkhannock, PA; Stephanie Tyler of Randolph, VT; Jonah Eberlin (Danielle) of Sugar Run, PA; and Heather Eberlin of Charleston, SC; and his grandchildren, Kora, Ella, Anya, Melina, Tyler, Mallory, Caleb, Dakota, Kim, and Lendon.

He is also survived by his brothers, Michael Tyler (Lisa) of Auburn, PA, and CB Tyler of Tunkhannock, PA, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ray Tyler, Sr., on April 24, 2013, and his grandmother, Alice Teel, on March 27, 2026.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church St., Wyalusing, PA, with Lay Minister Vickie Ellis of the Beaver Meadow Church officiating. The service will begin with a Masonic Service conducted by the members of Roman LeRay Franklin Masonic Lodge #418. Interment will take place at the Jersey Hill Cemetery in Meshoppen, PA. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
