Antoinette (Sportelli) Gillen, 85 of Laceyville, PA passed away peacefully on November 27, 2022 at The Gardens assisted living facility in Tunkhannock, PA. In her last hours she was surrounded by her family.

Born on January 10, 1937 to the late Cesare and Anna (Cafariello) Sportelli, she was the eldest daughter of six siblings. Antoinette grew up in the Easton area where she made her home until recently relocating to live with her daughter.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who immensely enjoyed the company of her family. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, travel, casino trips and spending the winter months in Florida for several years. Antoinette was employed at Shapiro's (later Avante) bedspread facility in south side Easton until her retirement.

She is survived by her loving children, Linda (Gillen) Otto and her husband Robert Otto Sr. of Laceyville, PA, Salvatore Gillen of Easton, PA, a brother Dr. Louis Sportelli and his wife Barbara of Palmerton, PA and a sister Nancy (Sportelli) Nicoletta of Easton, PA; 7 grandchildren Robert Otto Jr. of Meshoppen, PA, Christa Otto Bubba of Bath, PA, Salvatore Gillen Jr. of Wind Gap, PA, Brandon Gillen of Easton, PA, Brianna Gillen of Bethlehem, PA, Michael Scott Jr., of Bath, PA and Zachary Scott of Bethlehem, PA; 6 great-grandchildren Pia Antoinette Bubba, Preston Otto, Dominic Gillen, Nova Vereen, Tobias Scott and Alina Scott. She is preceded in death by her brothers Dr. Matthew Sportelli, Salvatore Sportelli, Cesare Sportelli, daughter Anna Marie (Gillen) Johnson, a granddaughter Antoinette Gillen and great-grandson Kieran Scott.

Interment is Wednesday, December 7 ^th at 11:00, Northampton Memorial Shrine, 3051 Green Pond Rd, Easton, PA. Friends and family are welcome to join us for a graveside service.
