Arthur "Art" Ralph Bunnell, age 70, of Meshoppen, PA passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 with his loving family by his side.
Art was born on August 3, 1950 in Wilkes-Barre, PA the son of the late Ralph Perry (d. 1977) and Constance Wallent Bunnell (d. 1995). He was a graduate of Elk Lake High School with the class of 1968.
He owned and operated his family dairy farm, the Rock Patch Farm on Bunnell Road in Meshoppen. Art also worked as a Carpenter with Noldy Building Supply and Meshoppen Stone.
Art was a member of the St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church and the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. He was a former member of the Endless Mountains Barbershop Chorus, a social member of the Rought Hall American Legion Post # 510 in Black Walnut, PA and assisted with the Wyoming County Relay for Life. He took great pleasure in dancing with his wife and bowling in leagues at Shadowbrook Lanes. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and shooting black powder rifles. He loved his dog, Snowball, and especially loved spending time with his family.
Art is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diane McGavin Bunnell; his children, Jennifer Bordi and her husband Jeff of Dickson City, PA and USAF Tech Sergeant Ralph Bunnell and his wife Patricia of Severn, MD; his sister, Tiki Lyons of Tunkhannock, PA; and his brother/sister-in-law, Robert McGavin of Meshoppen, PA and Jeanette and Edward Gardoski of Kingsley, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at the St. Joachim's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Art's name to the Wyoming County Cancer Society, PO Box 629, Tunkhannock, PA 18629.
