IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Audry June
Keiper Patton
June 2, 1929 – September 27, 2021
Audry June Keiper Patton (formerly of Noxen, PA) went home today, Monday, September 27, 2021. She will be missed by many, for she has touched so many lives.
She was born on June 2, 1929 in Noxen, PA the daughter of the late Chester A. Keiper and Florence G. Race Keiper. She was a graduate of Noxen High School.
She worked on the family farm, managed and worked in dress factories, and did a stint as a real estate agent. Audry enjoyed sewing on her own time as well and made clothes and gowns for nieces & nephews and sewed pillow cases for children for a local hospital.
Audry always looked for ways she could help others make their life better. She donated a lot of her time as an EMT, volunteered many hours to the Noxen Library, participated in the Share a Book Program and taught through the Adult Literacy Program. She was a former member of the Noxen United Methodist Church.
In between all that, Audry was always there for her family, especially her granddaughters. She loved traveling around the country with her husband, Glenn, visiting brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. She had many friends for whom she was always there. Audry was a creative lady and enjoyed painting on canvases, fired ceramics, quilted many quilts, knitted sweaters, crocheted many afghans and made collectable dolls. She also sang with the Noxen High School Choir. There's probably a lot more that I didn't know about or have forgotten about.
Audry is preceded in death by her mother, Florence Keiper, father, Chester Keiper, step-mother, Grace Patton Keiper, husband Glenn Patton, sisters, Hellen Payne, Laura Case, brother Robert Keiper, half-brother, Allen Keiper, and granddaughter, Holly Patton.
She is survived by sister Florence Parker, half-brother Thomas Keiper, step-sisters Anna May Smith, Betty Williams, Nancy Ide, son, Kenneth Patton, and granddaughter, Erin Patton.
Abiding by Audry's wishes a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Sheldon Funeral Home, 459 Main St., Laceyville, PA. Online condolences may be made at www.SheldonFuneralHomes.com .
