Barbara Anne Arey, age 83, of Wyalusing, PA passed away Thursday, May 7, 2026 at her home.

She was born on August 21, 1942 in Towanda, PA. She was the daughter of the late Frank B. (d. January 27, 1999) and Betty M. Oliver Allen (d. November 4, 2006). She was a graduate of Wyalusing High School with the class of 1960.

Barb married Kenneth Phillip Arey on August 21, 1965 and together they raised two sons. She was employed with ACME Supermarket and Red’s Mobil in the Deli department. When her children were born, she cherished being a homemaker for her family.

She was a member of the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed to go shopping and took great pleasure going out to eat with her family and friends.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Kenneth Arey II and Fred Arey both of Wyalusing, PA; her grandchildren, Kenneth Arey III, Bowman Arey, Isaac Benjamin and Katie Benjamin; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Phillip Arey, Sr. on March 2, 2012 and her sister, MaryAnn Burgess on January 1, 2015.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
