Barbara Ann Porter, age 79, of Wyalusing, PA passed away on Sunday morning, October 25, 2015 at the Skilled Nursing Unit at the Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital, where she had been living for the last few years.

Barbara was born on June 18, 1936 the daughter of the late Denton and Aletha Meyers Porter.

She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Terrytown, PA. She enjoyed scrapbooking and was an avid reader. She loved to play BINGO at the Skilled Nursing Unit.

Barbara is survived by her brothers Robert L. Porter and his wife Linda of Wyalusing, PA and Gordon Porter of Towanda, PA; her brother-in-law Daniel "Skip" Kithcart of Ulster, NY; her nieces and nephews Missy McMurrer and her husband Paul of Wyalusing, PA, Mike Porter and his wife Heather of Stevensville, PA, and Daniel Kithcart of Washington; and her great nieces and nephews Kaitlyn Schools and her husband Colton of Laceyville, PA, Denton Porter and Lauren Porter both of Stevensville, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents Denton, who passed away on December 25, 1982, and Aletha Meyers Porter who passed away August 30, 2013, and her sister Mary Kithcart.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Barbara's name to the Skilled Nursing Unit at Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital, 91 Hospital Drive, Towanda, PA 18848.
