Obituary

Beau James Marshall, age 30, of Meshoppen, PA, passed away unexpectedly, at the Wilkes Barre General Hospital, in Wilkes Barre, early Saturday morning, May 15, 2021.

Beau was born in Tunkhannock, PA, on August 30, 1990, the son of Bruce and Jamie Blaisure Marshall, of Meshoppen, PA. Growing up in Meshoppen, PA., Beau was a graduate of the Elk Lake High School, with the class of 2008. While in high school, he was involved with the swimming, soccer, and volleyball teams. Beau was also a member of the high school band, in which he played the drums. Beau was also known as a jokester, and prankster, always trying to leave people with a smile and laughter.

After high school, he attended Paul Smith's College, in Paul Smith, NY, where he was enrolled in their wildlife conservation course. It was Beau's dream to become a Wildlife Conservation Officer with the Pennsylvania Game Commission. One summer, he shadowed for the PA Game Commission. He loved anything that was involved with wildlife conservation, especially anything having to do with wolves.

Beau loved the outdoors, whether it was hunting, hiking, or just taking photos of the beautiful outdoors, and its wildlife. He loved cooking and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan, and a Jacksonville Jaguars fan. Beau loved playing volleyball in tournaments across the area. Another favorite past time was bowling, on his families bowling team, where they bowled at the Maplewood Lanes, in South Montrose, PA, and Belvedere Lanes, in Nicholson, PA.

Beau was employed by Inter-Con Security at Cargill, in Wyalusing, PA, and throughout the years, he was also employed as a forklift operator at various companies in the area, a cook at a few different restaurants, and NMS Security at Procter and Gamble.

Surviving is his parents, Bruce and Jamie Blaisure Marshall, of Meshoppen, PA, his siblings, Holly (Scott) Arnold, of Tunkhannock, PA, Francis (Mandy) Marshall, of Springville, PA, and Blaise Marshall, of Williamsport, PA. Also surviving are 4 nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Beau will also be missed by his beloved dogs, Ryker, his German Shepherd, and Zeeva, his Alaskan Malamute mix. He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Frank and Margaret Blaisure, and Paternal Grandparents, William and Cecilia Marshall, and his aunt, Lisa Marshall.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021, at 6:00 PM, at the Sheldon Funeral Home, 8206 Main St., Meshoppen, PA, with Rev. Scott Ryan, of the Meshoppen United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at a later date at the convenience of his family. Family and friends may call at the funeral home, on Friday, from 4:00 PM until the time of the service.
