Betsy Lee Jayne, age 51, of Spring Hill Road, Laceyville, PA passed away unexpectedly at her home early Monday morning, December 28, 2015.
Betsy was born on March 28, 1964 in Sayre, PA the daughter of the late Hugh who passed away September 29, 2011 and Agnes Owen Parkhurst, Sr. who passed away May 7, 1989.
She graduated from Wyalusing Valley High School with the class of 1982. Betsy was also enrolled in the C.N.A. Nursing Program, at the Bradford Co. Vo-Tech, during that time.
Betsy enjoyed collecting Mickey Mouse memorabilia, gardening, and camping with her family every year. She took great pleasure in spending time with her family and friends. She loved her animals especially her three cats Charlie, Mister, Shadow, and her dog Rasstess. She loved being a stay at home mother and housewife for her family. Her favorite of all was seeing all of her children and grandchildren laughing.
She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Roger Jayne, of home; her children Danielle Fries (Travis Boher) of Towanda, PA, Kristy Fries of Laceyville, PA, Angela Salsman (Lyle) of Sayre, PA, Brad Jayne (Shalyn Truescott) of Factoryville, PA, and Chad Jayne (Dana Gruen) of Tunkhannock, PA; her grandchildren Amelia Boher and Xander Boher both of Towanda, PA. Dylan Ciprich of Laceyville, PA, Montana Salsman and Dakota Salsman both of Sayre, PA, Braden Jayne and Alexa Jayne both of Wyalusing, PA, Kamden Jayne and Parker Jayne both of Tunkhannock, PA; special niece Tonya Knapp (Rick Travis) of Mehoopany, PA; special great nieces Jasmine Travis, Ashia Knapp, Morgan Knapp, and Elizia Knapp all of Mehoopany, PA; siblings Hugh Parkhurst, Jr. (Michelle), Audrey Lincoln (Frank), Walter Parkhurst, Herbert Parkhurst (Angela Force), Sandy Parkhurst, Sheryl Keir, and James Parkhurst; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her mother/father-in-law Anna Mae and Claude Jayne, Jr. and her brother Shawn Parkhurst.
Memorial services for Betsy will be held on Sunday afternoon, January 31, 2016, at 4:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, PA, with Rev. Dolly Tarreto of the Skinner's Eddy United Methodist Church officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 PM until the time of the service.
