Mrs. Betty A. Marbaker, age 92, of Tunkhannock, PA (Mehoopany twp.) passed away at the Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton, PA, early Sunday morning, April 11, 2021.

She was born in Sugar Run, PA, on January 13, 1929 the daughter of the late Ephraim Wilcox, Sr., and the late Mildred Fenton Wilcox. Betty was one of 7 daughters and 5 sons, born to Ephraim and Mildred. Growing up in the Wyalusing area, she was a graduate of the Wyalusing High School, with the class of 1948.

After her marriage to Clifton W. Marbaker, who passed away on September 10, 1998, Betty was a housewife for her husband and their son.

Throughout her life, Betty enjoyed listening to country music, especially the old-time country music. She also loved solving Dot-to-Dot puzzles, bird watching, and going for afternoon rides through the country side. Most of all, she enjoyed the time that she got to share with her large family and her many friends.

Surviving is her son, Raymond Marbaker, of Tunkhannock, PA; her two grandchildren, Dustin Marbaker (Jessica Warfle) of Springville, PA, and Lacy Marbaker of Montrose, PA, and her great-grandchildren, Brittany Warfle, Desiree Marbaker, Payton Marbaker, and Kira Marbaker, and a great-great-granddaughter, Sophia, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by, her brothers: Ephraim "Albert" Wilcox Jr., Louie Wilcox, Fayette Wilcox, Oliver "Willy" Wilcox, Fenton Wilcox, and her sisters, June Truesdale, Ruth Startzel, Shirley Ann Wilcox, Charlotte Anderson, Mary Shatinsky, and Lillian "Lil" Jayne.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at the convenience of her family at the Retta Cemetery.
