Beverly Jane Casselbury, age 87, of Le Raysville, PA passed away Monday afternoon, October 3, 2016 at the Meadow View Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Montrose where she been residing for a little over a year.

Beverly was born on May 16, 1929 in Groton, NY the daughter of the late Leonard and Bertha Buckingham Norton. She was employed with the Lander Company in Binghamton, NY for over 30 years.

Beverly enjoyed attending square dances and penny socials. She was well known for her rice pudding. She loved the family dog, Queenie. Most of all she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with children, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Maxine Alderson and her husband Verne of Le Raysville, PA, and Ralph Casselbury and companion Brenda McCarthy of Stevensville, PA; her grandchildren John Alderson and his wife Nancy of Le Raysville, PA, Alicia Hutchinson and her husband Christopher of Cadis, PA, James Alderson and his wife Melinda of Le Raysville, PA, Angela Maffei and her husband Daniel of Le Raysville, PA, Renee Casselbury and her fiancé Vinny Baumunk of Wyalusing, PA, and Erica Fitzwater and her husband Daniel of Stevensville, PA; her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Connor, Bradley, Miranda, Evan, Giovanni, Brady, Deegan, Isaac, Emilee, and Lana. She is also survived by her siblings Vera Love of Meshoppen, PA, William Norton and his wife Shirley of Great Bend, PA, and Phillip Norton of Silvara, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph "Pete" Casselbury in a tragic automobile accident in 1975; her sisters, Millie, Clara, and Helen; and her brothers, Clarence, Leon, Laurence, and Julius.

Funeral services for Beverly will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church St., Wyalusing with Reverend Sharon Rockefeller of the Rushville Presbyterian Church and Reverend Tom Burlington of the Dille Parish UCC in Le Raysville, PA officiating. Interment will follow at the Camptown Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
