Beverly "Becky" Jean Roof O'Connor, 82, of Wyalusing, PA, widow of Kenneth "Kenny" O'Connor, passed away December 29, 2015, at the Wyalusing Valley Personal Care Home.

Beverly was born the daughter of the late Atla and Eugenia Werkheiser Roof on December 17, 1933 in Towanda, PA. She graduated as a member of the Towanda High School Class of 1952.

On October 18, 1957, Beverly and Kenny were wed in the Rome United Methodist Church. They resided and raised their family in Herrickville, before moving to Wyalusing in 2003.

In Beverly's earlier years, she was employed by several shoe and dress factories before becoming a stay at home mom for her three children. Beverly was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt that enjoyed spending time with her family. She particularly enjoyed camping with her family at local campgrounds and traveling through the United States with her husband in retirement. Some of her most memorable moments were of time spent at the cabin in Cobden, Ontario, Canada with her family.

Beverly is survived by her children: Gail and husband Jack Vanderpool of Laceyville, PA, Greg O'Connor of Wysox, PA, Scott O'Connor of Wyalusing, PA; grandchildren: Alicia Terascavage of Norwich, NY, Shane Terascavage of Wilkes-Barre, PA, and Brad and wife Miranda O'Connor of Monroeton, PA; sister Anita Moore of Rome, PA; brother Norman "Bud" and wife Regina Roof of Wysox, PA; sister-in-law Margaret Roof also of Wysox, PA; as well as many nieces, nephews, and brothers/sister-in-laws.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Kenny O'Connor on January 3, 2015; sisters Eunice Eddy, Pauline "Joyce" Mills, Virginia Eddy, and brothers Charles Roof and Malcom Roof.

Funeral services to honor the life of Beverly will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 12:00 noon from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church Street, Wyalusing, with Beverly's nephew, Ed O'Connor officiating. Interment will follow at the Camptown Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
