On September 18, 1965, Bonnie married George Leroy Laird, and were together for the 52 years before his passing on August 24, 2018.

For over 30 years, Bonnie was an antique dealer from her home in Retta, and later at the Apple Wagon Antique Mall on Russell Hill, in Tunkhannock, PA.

Bonnie's hobbies were going to local auctions, looking for her treasures, and her yearly trip in August to the antique show in Bouckvill, NY. She also loved working in her flower beds surrounding her home, and also helping her daughter, Tina, making corsages, while she had her flower businesses. She also enjoyed doing crafts in her younger years, and the company of her many friends and family members playing cards. She enjoyed her trips to area casinos with her husband, at Mohegan Sun, and Tioga Point. Bonnie always enjoyed the time that was spent with her family, for the last year, it was very hard for her adjusting to not having George around in her life.
