Carole J. Newhart, age 71, of Wyalusing, PA passed away Tuesday morning, October 13, 2015 at her home.

Carole was born on July 1, 1944 the daughter of the late Edwin and Jane Frantz Newhart. She was born and raised in Susquehanna County and graduated from Elk Lake High School with the class of 1962.

She graduated from Robert Packer Nursing School with the class of 1965 as a Registered Nurse. She was employed as a Registered Nurse with St. Ann's Home in Rochester, NY. After retirement she and her husband, John T. Hickey, moved to Wyalusing, PA.

Carole was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish and was very active at her church, St. Mary's of the Assumption Church in Wyalusing, PA. She truly enjoyed completing needle craft projects in her spare time.

Carole is survived by her husband of 33 years, John T. Hickey, of home; her siblings Jeffrey Newhart and his wife Barbara of Elk Lake, PA, and Cristie Newhart of Lenox, MA; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sister and brother in law, Connie and Charles Pennay.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the St. Mary's of the Assumption Church with Father Joseph Manarchuck officiating.
