Casimer "Cash" Kadluboski, age 88, of Laceyville, PA passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the Darway Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Forksville, PA.
Cash was born on June 11, 1933 in Fairmount Springs, PA the son of the late Zigmund and Valeria Puchalski Kadluboski. He attended Nanticoke High School.
He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War as a Medic and Cook. He also served in the US Navy and the US Coast Guard. Cash was employed for 30 years with Mack Trucks. He began his career as a Machinist and moved through the ranks and retired as a Road Tester. During his time with Mack Trucks he also operated a farm raising livestock and harvesting crops. He took great pleasure in being able to live off "the fat of the land."
After retirement he and his wife, Rose, purchased a cabin in Canada and spent many months at a time there. About 20 years ago he moved permanently from Kunkletown, PA to Laceyville.
He was a member of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Pittston, PA and a former member of the Rought Hall American Legion Post #510 in Black Walnut, PA. He was a talented musician as he played in a band enjoying singing, playing the Bass Fiddle and Accordion. He was always very active working on his property in Laceyville. He even was plowing snow this winter. He also enjoyed relaxing on his back porch watching the wildlife. Cash loved to spend time with his family and especially reminiscing about family togethers like the annual pig roast he hosted every year.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Lastowski Kadluboski; his daughter and husband, Valerie and Rolland "Rock" Hoffman of Annville, PA; his granddaughters and spouses, Janine and Richard Baur of Bethlehem, PA and Shiloh and Christopher Neve of Racine, MN; his great-grandchildren, Owen and Rory Baur and Aurelia, Claire, and William Neve; his sister, Mary Campbell of Mount Pleasant, SC; many nieces and nephews; his faithful four-legged companion, Missy; and granddogs, Milo, Boris and Natasha. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Josephine Mayewski, Loretta Nieminski, Ann Clayton, Edward Kadluboski, Helen Franz, Rose Lifshine, John Kadluboski, Joseph Kadluboski, Adam l Kadluboski, Peter Kadluboski, and Adam ll Kadluboski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 62 Broad St, Pittston, PA with Fr. Phillip DeLallo officiating. A public visitation will be held at the Church on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM until Mass begins. Interment will take place at a later date at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Cash's name to the Goodwill Fire Co., PO Box 207, Laceyville, PA 18623.
