Mrs. Charlene Repsher, age 76, of Laceyville, PA, passed away on Monday evening, August 2, 2021, at the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.
Charlene was born in Laceyville, PA., on April 24, 1945, the daughter of Charles B. Singer, who passed away on March 12, 2002, and Mildred Frances Brown Singer, who passed away on May 14, 2014. Growing up in Laceyville, PA. Charlene was a graduate of the Wyalusing Valley High School with the class of 1963.
Charlene married Keith Repsher on January 12, 1963, who she was married to for 47 years, until his passing on May 31, 2010.
Throughout her life, Charlene worked for many years with her father on their family farm on Indian Hill. For over 20 years, Charlene did all of the cleaning at the Rought Hall Post #510 American Legion, in Black Walnut, a job that she very much enjoyed. She also did cleaning at the Skyline Motel in Tunkhannock, PA., and Marks Valley View Motel in Laceyville, PA.
Charlene was one that always kept busy doing something, whether it was collecting her many nick-nacks, watching and feeding birds, especially watching the hummingbirds, visiting with her legion friends, and her coffee buddies at Christie's Restaurant in Black Walnut, or being surrounded by her family and many friends.
Surviving are her three daughters, Cindy (Bill) Eberhardt, of Seely Lake, Montana, MaryAnn Stevens, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, and Debbie Taylor, of Fernandina Beach, Florida. Charlene is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, a sister, Connie Wood, of Laceyville, PA, and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jody and Jim Sands, of Laceyville PA, a brother-in-law, Kenneth Repsher, of Harding, PA, a sister-in-law, Rose Repsher, of Wyalusing, PA, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Romaine Lyle Salsman, who passed away on September 15, 2009.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 1:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 459 Main St., Laceyville, PA, with Lay Minister Vickie Ellis of the Beaver Meadows Community Church officiating. Interment will be in the Lacey St. Cemetery in Laceyville, PA. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial donations to the Rought Hall Post #510 American Legion, 328 Old Route 6 Rd., Laceyville, PA 18623.
