Obituary
Charlotte Elizabeth Clouse, age 80, of Camptown, PA passed away Friday afternoon, February 26, 2016 with her family by her side at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Towanda Memorial Hospital.
Charlotte was born on May 14, 1935 in Newton, NJ, the daughter of the late Theron and Rebecca Hyatt. She was a graduate of Sussex High School with the Class of 1953. One year after graduating she married Gerald H. Clouse Sr. on March 20, 1954. Charlotte worked for the United Telephone Company in Newton, NJ, as a telephone operator for 19 years. In 1978 the Clouse family moved to Camptown, where they have lived and raised their family for the last 38 years. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of 61 years, Gerald H. Clouse Sr. of Camptown, PA; her son Terry Clouse and his wife Carmen of Marlboro, NY; son Brian Clouse and Cindy Schmidt of Rome, PA; daughter Marsha Vough and her husband Greg of Augusta, NJ; son Gerald Clouse Jr. and his wife Debbie of Camptown, PA; son James Clouse of Camptown, PA, and daughter in law, Vickie Clouse of Camptown, PA; brother George Hyatt of Beemerville, NJ; and sister Daisy Matthews and her husband Reginald of Beermerville, NJ, two sisters in laws; Patricia Tulp, of Media, PA, and Anne Kosusko, of Mass. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Charlotte was preceded in death by her son Bruce Clouse who passed away on July 6, 2010, and her granddaughter, Tiffany Clouse, who passed away on January 13, 2000.
Private family graveside services for Charlotte will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Camptown Cemetery with Pastor John McAndrew of the Calvary Chapel in Wyalusing, PA conducting the service.
