Christopher "Chris" Michael Davis, age 56, of Wyalusing, PA, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital.

Chris was born on August 17, 1961 in Towanda, PA, the son of Dave & Fern Davis, of Columbia, MD and Kay & Sheldon Johnson of Wyalusing, PA. Chris graduated from Wyalusing Valley High School with the Class of 1979. He worked as a Sheet Metal Worker and Union Shop Steward at Arrow United Industries in Wyalusing for more than 25 years after graduating high school. Chris was a longtime PA Game Commission Deputy. He was also a national hunter safety course instructor, a tae-kwon-do instructor, Little League Softball coach, Santa Claus for the Wyalusing Public Library and a voluntary fireman. Chris was a very generous neighbor and was always willing to help those in need.

Chris always enjoyed helping people and giving himself to others. He was a big Kansas City Chiefs and New York Yankees fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, reloading ammunition, and wood working on antique travel trunks and tables. Chris also enjoyed painting old windows and saws, collecting baseball cards and antique milk bottles. He liked mowing lawns for people and cutting fields, smoking "pigs" (cigars), going to youth sporting events and telling stories. As a Christian, Chris was devoted to the Lord and enjoyed reading his Bible everyday. Chris was always a happy person and loved life.

In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by his children, Casey Freece Davis of New Albany, PA and Ryan Christopher Davis of Wyalusing, PA. He is also survived by his brother Jeff Davis of Richmond, VA; sister Dianna (Tim) Goodwin of Wyalusing, PA; brother Brad Davis of Baltimore, MD; brother Alan Davis of Columbia, MD; step-brother Tim (Leann) Johnson of Wyalusing, PA; step-sisters Telysa Norman of Vestal, NY; Tami (Larry) Potenzino of Vestal, NY as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Marge and Ted Burgess; step-grandparents Iva and Sheldon Johnson; paternal grandparents Myron and Betty Davis; and step-grandparents Ken and Ruth Mapes

Funeral services for Chris will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 12:00 Noon from Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Main Street, Wyalusing, PA with Pastor Dolly Tarreto of the Skinners Eddy United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Wyalusing Borough Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
