Cody Franklin, "Codeman" Age 28, of Springville, PA, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening at home in Dimock Township.

Cody was born in Tunkhannock, PA on April 28, 1993, the son of Shelly L. Franklin Darling and stepfather Floyd Darling, of Springville, PA along with another stepfather figure who Cody looked upon growing up, Timothy Holzlein.

Cody will be lovingly remembered and leaves behind cherished memories with his loyal fiancé, Martavious Fair, of 2 years and as well as Martavious loving family in North Carolina. Cody had a heart of gold, was charismatic, caring, extraordinary, family oriented, adventurous, his passion of caregiving for and to animals and rehoming rescues which extended beyond his own life, in dogs and cats, were his pride and joy, as well as finding them a forever home.

Cody had a brag worthy, ambitious, connoisseur taste for collecting over 5,000 DVDs, his love for movies,movies and more movies was his proudest, accomplishing self-love fulfillment. He was a fun-loving person and would do anything for anyone. He was always there for his family and would give you the shirt off his back if anyone needed. His laughter, smile and jovial spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He also enjoyed nature, music, and car rides in his spare time.

Cody was employed with Walmart Tunkhannock, PA, for the past five years which became his second family and home away from home.

Cody is survived by his mother Shelly L. Franklin Darling of Springville PA, Stepfather, Floyd Darling of Springville PA, his siblings, Sage Darling of Springville PA, Joshua Darling of Springville PA, step- siblings Brandon Holzein of Towanda PA, David Cornelius of Black Walnut PA, Emily Cornelius of Meshoppen PA, Kayla Belcher of Towanda PA. Maternal Grandfather  Stanley Franklin and his wife Terri Gates of Meshoppen PA. Maternal Great Grandmother, Jennie Owen of Black Walnut PA. as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cody was preceded in death by his grandmother Joyce Belcher, Sharon Owen Franklin "Nanny", and grandfather, Francis Owen.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning, August 17, 2021, at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 459 Main St., Laceyville, PA, with Rev. Charles Bishop of the Transue Community Church officiating. Interment will be in the Lacey St. Cemetery in Laceyville, PA. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening, August 16, 2021, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
