Obituary

Curtis G. Wallace, age 65, of 864 Lacey St., Laceyville, PA passed away Wednesday morning, October 30, 2013 at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA.


Curt was born on September 8, 1948 in Newton, NJ the son of the late Edwin and Dorothy Gould Wallace.


He was a graduate of Newton High School with the class of 1966.


After high school Curt married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Decker Wallace, on September 16, 1967.


Curt was a self-employed dairy farmer working in New Jersey and later in the Laceyville, PA area.


He was a lifetime member of the American Hunting Club, as well as a member of the NRA. He enjoyed tinkering with tractors. He took great pleasure in all aspects of hunting, including target shooting and reloading his ammunition. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren.



Curt is survived by his wife of 46 years, Bonnie Wallace; his children Curt W. Wallace and his wife Bea of South Auburn, PA, Carrie Simpson and her husband Jack of Spring Hill, PA, and Corey L. Wallace and his wife April of West Auburn, PA; his grandchildren Zachary Wallace and his fiancé Amanda Welshans of Avis, PA, Alex Wallace and his wife Cindy of Hubert, NC, Jake, Levi, and Cherokee Simpson all of Spring Hill, PA, and Tyler Wallace of West Auburn, PA; his sisters Gail Tringali and her husband Roy of Hicksville, NY, Edwina Jager and her husband Milton of Branchville, NJ, and Carol Goble of Newton, NJ; 3 step-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother William Wallace and brother-in-law Dave Goble.


Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 4:00 PM at the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, PA with Vickie Ellis of the Beaver Meadows and South Auburn United Methodist Church officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
