Darlene J. Moon, age 52, of Meshoppen, PA passed away at Tyler Memorial Hospital, Wednesday morning, December 3, 2014.

Darlene was born on March 6, 1962 the daughter of the late David B. Salsman Sr. whom passed away May 25, 2006 and Ethel L. Decker Salsman whom passed away on August 10, 1994.

Darlene is survived by daughters, April Jayne of Friendsville, PA; Tasha Patton of Taylor, PA; by her brothers Kevin and wife Marylou Salsman of Mehoppany, PA; Kelvin and wife Janice Salsman of Laceyville, PA; and David "Pork" Salsman Jr. of Tunkhannock, PA. She is also survived by her sister Bonnie Richards of Dade City, FL; her step-mother Jean Salsman of Meshoppen, PA, half-brothers Donald Sands of Maryland, Darrell Sands of Montrose, PA, Wayne Sands of Laceyville, PA; step siblings Walt, Judy, Tammy, Lynn, Chris, and Carrie as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins as well. Darlene is preceded in death by a son Kevin Moon, daughter Sherry Lynn Moon, and half-brother Kenneth Sands.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Meshoppen Rod and Gun Club with Reverend Gary Myers of the Meshoppen Biblical Baptist Church officiating. Family and friends are welcome to stay for a time of fellowship at the Meshoppen Rod and Gun Club from the time of the service unitl 5:00 PM. Services were entrusted with Sheldon Funeral Homes, Main Street, Laceyville, PA.
