Obituary

Debra "Debbie" Louise Truesdale, age 61, formerly of Meshoppen, PA passed away Thursday morning, March 31, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock, PA where she had been residing for the last year.

Debbie was born on May 16, 1954 in Kingston, PA the daughter of the late Carl Berton and Jennie Robbins, Sr. She was raised in Nicholson, PA and graduated from Mountain View High School in 1972.

After graduation she met the love of her life Russell "Rusty" Truesdale at a dance at the Grange through her friend, Judy. Debbie married Rusty on December 1, 1973.

Debbie was employed with New Beginnings Daycare in Tunkhannock for 14 years. She also worked at the Mill City and Meshoppen Dress Factories, ENCON, and Tiffany's Lamp Factory in Black Walnut, PA.

She along with her husband were members of the Rought Hall Post 510 American Legion in Black Walnut, PA. She enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing, playing cards (especially Shanghai), Cubis, and other computer games. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Debbie is survived by her three children Sherry Stofko of Milton, PA, Stacy Antoniotti of Factoryville, PA, and David Truesdale of Tunkhannock, PA; eight grandchildren, one great-grandson; brothers Carl Berton Robbins, Jr. and his wife Denise of Dallas, PA, Gary Robbins of Moscow, PA; sister Mary Kaleta of Tunkhannock, PA; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rusty, on June 4, 2012.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the Rought Hall Post 510 American Legion in Black Walnut, PA with Reverend Scott Ryan of the Meshoppen United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Jersey Hill Cemetery in Auburn Center, PA.
