Debra "Debbie" Tyler, age 70, of South Auburn, PA passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025 at her home with her family by her side.

Debbie was born in Meshoppen, PA on December 22, 1954 the daughter of the late Albert (d. January 10, 2007) and Lottie Boyanowski Kamarauskas (d. December 5, 2000).  She was a graduate of Elk Lake High School with the class of 1972 and later obtained an Associate Degree in Business Administration from the University of Pheonix.

It was in high school where she met the love of her life, Scott C. Tyler and have been together since they were 15 years old.  They were married on July 4, 1973.  Debbie was employed with Whipples Lumber yard after high school but as they started having children, she was a homemaker for Scott and their three children.  Throughout the years she also became employed with the Elk Lake School District as a Special Needs Teacher's Aide.

Debbie was a member of the St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, an associate member of the Rought Hall American Legion Post #510, and donating member of the Meshoppen Ambulance Company.  She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and putting up the stone wall around her house.  She took great pleasure in camping and going to NASCAR races, even though she usually fell asleep during the race.  Going horseback riding was special to her because that is a hobby she passed down to her granddaughter, Sydney.  She loved being surrounded by her pets and family.  Debbie had many talents, but being a great wife, mother, and grandmother was her favorite.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Scott C. Tyler; her children Scott R. Tyler (Jess), Nicole Tyler (Gary Webber) and Joe Tyler (Shannon) all of South Auburn, PA; her grandchildren, Sydney Tyler, Caleigh Tyler, and Bailey Shimer; her siblings and spouses, Nancy Parsons of West Auburn, PA, Linda and David Taylor of Montrose, PA, Patricia and George Mowry of South Auburn, PA, Judy Fitch of Springville, PA, Diane and Arden Baker of Auburn Center, PA, and Susan and Fred Saxer of Wyalusing, PA; her mother-in-law, Nancy Tyler of South Auburn, PA; her brothers/sisters-in-law, Yvonne and Lee Lord of South Auburn, PA, Bonnie and Ed Brewer of Meshoppen, PA, Tim and Terri Tyler of South Auburn, PA, and Brian and Teresa Tyler of South Auburn, PA; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, R. Levi Tyler (d. March 12, 2000), and brothers-in-law, Pete Parsons (d. May 16, 2022) and Daryl Tyler (d. March 3, 1967).

Funeral Services for Debbie will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 4:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 459 Main St., Laceyville, PA with Lay Minister Vickie Ellis of the Beaver Meadows Church officiating.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home in Laceyville on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.  Interment will take place on Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Jersey Hill Cemetery.
