Dennis Scott Gruver (44)

Dennis Scott Gruver, age 44, of 7466 Rt. 367, Laceyville, PA (Silvara) passed away on December 19, 2012.
Dennis was born on June 12, 1968 in Laceyville the son of Patricia Manning of Quicks Bend, PA and Edward "Ted" Gruver of York, SC.
He attended Wyalusing Valley High class of 1986. After high school Dennis met his wife Karen Marie Hamspey Gruver and they have been together for 25 years.
Dennis was employed with Meshoppen Stone as a truck driver.
Dennis had a really good sense of humor. He enjoyed to fish, hunt, and everything about cars. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family and many friends.
Besides his wife and parents Dennis is survived by his daughters Samantha Marie Gruver of Laceyville, Haylee Nichelle Gruver of Laceyville, and Christina Grimes (Kevin) of Stantonsburg, NC; grandson Dakota Grimes of Stantonsburg; brothers Joseph Gruver (Hope) of Laceyville, Eddie Gruver (Nichole) of Laceyville, and Jarod Gruver of Texas; maternal grandmother Doris Manning of Laceyville; father in law Donald J. Hampsey of Storey Lake, PA; mother in law Linda C. English (Bob) of Silvara, PA; brother and sisters in law Michael Nesslein of Tunkhannock, PA, Paula Hampsey of Storey Lake, Eric English (Sharon) of Silvara, Joseph English (Kimberly) of Camptown, PA, Heather Lape (Charles) of Cincinnati, OH, and Holly English of Pittsburgh, PA; step father George Surplus of Quicks Bend; special nieces and nephews April Hartshaw, Megan Hartshaw, Hannah Anne Kiefer, Joseph A. Gruver, Jr. and Damian Michael Manning all of Laceyville; as well as several other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins He was preceded in death by his son Dillan James Gruver, maternal grandfather Arthur E. Manning, special nephew Zachary Allen Hartshaw, and sister in law Michelle Hampsey Nesslein.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, PA with Rev. Tim Barnett of New Hope Ministries in West Auburn, PA officiating. Interment will follow at the Lacey St. Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM
