IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Diane T.
Meislohn
June 27, 1945 – March 20, 2014
Diane T. Meislohn, age 68, of 9274 SR 3001 Laceyville Pa, passed away at her home surrounded by loved ones, on Thursday, March 20, 2014. Born in Elizabeth, NJ June 27, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen Alvarez.
Diane was a free spirit who spent the early years of her adult hood traveling the world, eventually settling down with the late Rick Meislohn and having two children, Corinne and Zack.
Being the accepting open hearted woman she was, as her kids grew bigger so did her family, as she treated many "kids" the same way she would her own, she is survived by her children , Corinne Meislohn and Jamie Hollis, Zack and Jasmine Meislohn, Abby and Beau Brown, Katie McClain, Salis Hollis, Miaka Wood, Thomas Coleman, Stacey Ossenfort, Justin and Sue Ellen Stretch, Jeremy and Christy Hurlburt , Ryan Coleman and his soon to be wife Christina, William Bass, Lee and Nicole Labor, April and Erik Brewer, Scott and Ashley Murray, Shawn Cole, Brian, David, Elena and Tara Prince. Her grandchildren Isabella, Chloe, Owen, Finny and her favorite guy in the world, Jakub. Her sister, and partner in crime Valerie Kauger, her cousin Michael Barnes, who has and always will be a brother to her, and lastly two of her best friends, Ellen Armitage and Henry Prince.
In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading and spending time with her friends and family. She proved to us all that no true rebel lives without a cause, and that materialistic things are exactly that, materialistic things. Sometimes we need to all just slow down for a minute, relax, put things into perspective and embrace what really holds meaning in our life's. Often she would say "All will be well".
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 7:00 PM at the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St, Laceyville, PA with Father Joseph Hornick of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Saturday 5:00 until the time of the service. A private burial will be held for immediate family at a later date.
