Donald F. Bishop (59) Obit
Donald F. Bishop, age 59, of 4398 SR 3001, Meshoppen, PA passed away at his home early Tuesday morning, November 20, 2012 in Auburn twp., Susquehanna County.
Donald was born on October 6, 1953 in New Hope, NJ the son of the late Donald and Eileen Polmatier Bishop.
He graduated from Elk Lake High School class of 1971. He also studied 2 years at the Penn State University Lehman Campus.
Donald was a Maintenance Supervisor for Bendix Aviation in South Montrose, PA for a number of years.
He was a member of the Springville United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Springville Fire Co. and the N.R.A. He loved to hunt, fish, and go antiquing. He especially loved living on the family farm and the country lifestyle.
Donald is survived by his brother Rich Bishop and his wife Julie of Tunkhannock, PA, his sister Jan Brockman and her husband Paul of Meshoppen, PA, as well as many close nieces, nephews, and cousins.
It was Donald's wishes to have a private memorial service to be held at the convenience of the family at a later.
In lieu of flowers those wishing to make donations may do so in Donald's name to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, PO Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
Arrangements were made through Sheldon Funeral Homes, Main St., Meshoppen, PA.
