Donna Lynn Hollister, age 60, of (Auburn Center), Lott Rd., Meshoppen, PA. passed away early Tuesday morning, March 3, 2015 at the Celtic Hospice and Home Health at Geisinger South, in Wilkes Barre, PA.
Donna was born on August 19, 1954 on Staten Island, NY, the daughter of the late Robert and Barbara Rubelli Martin. Donna was a graduate of the Morris Central High School in Morristown, NJ; and later studied Nursing, at the Broome Community College, in Binghamton, NY.
On December 4, 1976, she married Berton A. Hollister Jr., of Auburn Center, PA., and together they raised their two children.
For many years, Donna was employed at the Endless Mountains Health Systems in Montrose, PA.
She was a member of the St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church in Meshoppen, PA.; Donna also served as an E.M.T. for the Laceyville Ambulance Assoc.; in her spare time she enjoyed photography; playing guitar; traveling throughout the US, visiting her children and grandchildren, during her travels she loved being near the ocean. Most of all she loved being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband of 38 years, Berton A. Hollister Jr, on Auburn Center, PA.; her son and fiancé, Berton A. Hollister III, and Becki Potsko, of Tunkhannock, PA; and her daughter and her husband, Jennifer and Mike Hoskins of Eden, NY; her grandchildren; Jasmine, Hailey, Jesse, Kyra, Abby, and Colby. Her extended family of her father in law and mother in law, Berton A. and Rose Hollister Sr., of Auburn Center, PA, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her two brothers, William Martin and George Martin, and a sister, Robin Fuller.
Private family memorial services and interment will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call at the Sheldon Funeral Home, 8206 SR6, Main St., Meshoppen, PA. on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
