Dora M. Wood Blaine, age 87, of Stevensville, PA passed away Sunday morning, January 10, 2016 at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock, PA. She was a resident of the Wyalusing Valley Personal Care Home.

Dora was born on July 17, 1928 in Akron, OH the daughter of the late Francis Wood and Margaret Gustafson Cobb.

She married the late Ronald L. Blaine on March 31,1950 and together they had two children. She was employed with the Northeast Bradford High School as a Secretary in the Guidance Office from 1971 to 1989.

Dora attended Braintrim Baptist Church in Laceyville, PA. She enjoyed shopping, auctions, and cruising. Dora was a very giving woman. She loved her family and enjoyed all the time she got to spend with them.

Dora is survived by her son Timothy Blaine and his wife Betsy of Stevensville, PA; her daughter Tamara Owens and her husband Tom of Cape Coral, FL; her grandchildren Jeremiah Blaine and his wife Loretta of Centerville, TN; Rebecca Allen of Stevensville, PA, Elizabeth VanDerpool and her husband Duane of Wyalusing, PA, Ruth King and her husband Ben of Hughesville, PA, and Ashley Pilcher and her finance, Kyle Rhoads of Lancaster, PA; 14 grandchildren; and her siblings Ralph Wood (Doris), Donna Quissenberry (Joe), Joyce George (John), Jerry Wood (Linda), and Charles Wood.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church St., Wyalusing, PA with Reverend Joseph Kilmer of the Braintrim Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the East Herrick Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
