Obituary
Doris E. Cook, age 67, of Rock Hill, SC passed away April 1, 2014 at the Uni Health in Rock Hill, SC after a short illness.
Born in Tunkhannock on December 25, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Chester R. and Florence (Hoover) Cook.
Doris was previously employed at IBM in Endicott, NY. She also worked as a security officer in South Carolina.
She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Cook of Clover, SC; two grandchildren Brianna Cook and Michael Slater both of Clover, SC; brother Ronald and Carol Cook of Montrose, PA; sisters Arlene Knapp of Lancaster, SC, Beverly and Ronald Lee of Meshoppen, PA, Cathy Wildoner (Edward Darling) of Meshoppen, PA; and sister-in-law Beatrice Cook of Wyalusing, PA. Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Paul Cook.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 12:00 PM at the Sheldon Funeral Home, SR 6, Meshoppen, PA with Rev. James Rugg of the Mill City Assembly of God Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Jersey Hill Cemetery in Meshoppen, PA. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
