Doris A. Donnora, age 80, of Meshoppen (Myo Beach), PA passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Regional Hospital of Scranton.

She was born September 1, 1940 in Pittston, PA, the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Begosh-Karaffra.  After attending Jenkins TWP High School, Doris continued her education at the Practical Nursing School in Kingston, PA, Wilkes-Barre Business School, Empire Beauty School, and the Barbizon School of Modeling.

On top of her duties as a homemaker, Doris was also a member of the St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church in Meshoppen and the Rought Hall Post #510 American Legion Auxiliary of Black Walnut.

Doris is survived by her husband, Robert E. Donnora; her children, David A. Donnora (Amy) of Montrose, PA and Robert A. Donnora (Lisa) of Pittston, PA; her granddaughter, Emily Megan Donnora of Montrose, PA; and her sister, Marian Krawitz of Trucksville, PA.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Karaffra, Joseph Karaffra, and Andrew Karaffra.

A memorial mass for Doris will be held on Saturday, April 24 2021 at 11:00 AM from the St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church on Sterling St. in Meshoppen, PA with Father Peter Tran of the church officiating.  Interment will follow at the St. Joachim's Cemetery.  Family and friends may call at the Sheldon Funeral Home, 8206 SR 6 Meshoppen, PA on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM.
