Ellen M. Wilson, age 92, of Wyalusing, PA passed way Thursday evening, February 19, 2015 at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte, PA.

Ellen was born on November 15, 1922 in Herrickville, PA the daughter of the late Arthur and Vera Overpeck Leavenworth.

She graduated from Eastern High School in Washington, D.C. with the class of 1940. She pursued her education at Strayer College and graduated in 1941.

Ellen married the late Wendell "Wendy" Wilson on July 12, 1947. Together they raised three sons. She was employed with PS Bank as a Bank Teller at the Wyalusing branch for many years. She loved her job especially because she had the opportunity to catch up with everyone who came into the bank.

Ellen was a member of the Wyalusing United Methodist Church and a member of the church's choir. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 498 in Le Rayesville, PA and the Wyalusing Legion Women's Auxillary. Ellen took great pride in keeping her flower garden in impeccable shape. She liked to bowl and thoroughly enjoyed spending winters in Florida with Wendy and watching the Philadelphia Phillies spring training games and Florida Gators football games.

She is survived by her sons Gary Wilson and his wife Gail of Erie, PA, Bruce Wilson of Port Royal, PA, and Brian Wilson and his wife Tracey of Mechanicsburg, PA; her grandchildren Emily Wilson and Sydney Wilson both of Mechanicsburg, PA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of almost 63 years, Wendy Wilson who passed away July 4, 2010.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 12:00 noon from the Wyalusing United Methodist Church with Reverend Dale Russell of the Church and Reverend Myles T. Bradley officiating. Eastern Star services will precede the funeral service and be conducted by the members of the Eastern Star Chapter 498. Family and friends may gather at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the services. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date from the Wyalusing Borough Cemetery.
