Elsie M. Fassett, age 71, of 5917 SR. 367 Montrose, PA (Lawton) passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 4, 2014 at the Regional Hospital of Scranton.

Elsie was born on April 4, 1943 in Wyalusing, PA the daughter of the late Peter and Nellie Armitage Walter.

She was the wife of late Perle C. Fassett Sr., whom passed away October 1, 2012, and together they had five children. With a big family, Elsie was a homemaker and housewife for her family. She enjoyed caring for her four dogs and also visiting with family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, doing crosswords, and word finds. Elsie liked to do any kind of shopping especially with her daughter April. She loved playing her Wii every night before she went to bed as well.

Surviving are her five children; Perle Fassett Jr. of Lawton, PA; Harry (Latrenda) Fassett of West Auburn, PA; Oscar Fassett of Tunkhannock, PA; Jerry Fassett of Lawton, PA; and April Fassett of Lawton, PA. Also surviving are her brothers Peter (Jeanette) Walter Jr. of Wyalusing, PA; James (Leah) Walter of Montrose, PA; William (Mary) Walter of Towanda, PA; Howard Walter of Spring Lake, PA; Frank (Geraldine) Walter of Laceyville, PA; sister Mary Fassett of Lawton, PA; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws are also surviving. Beside her parents and husband, Elsie is preceded in death by her brother George Walter.

With abiding with the wishes of Elsie, there will be no calling hours, or memorial services.
