Erik Brandon "Itty Bitty" Brewer, 41 years young of Laceyville, PA passed away Wednesday May 2, 2018 surrounded by his loving family following a sudden and tragic motorcycle accident.

Erik was born on February 23, 1977 in Towanda, PA the son of Phillip and Teresa Hupp Brewer. He graduated from Wyalusing High School with the Class of 1995 and attended Pennsylvania College of Technology (Penn Tech). Erik was employed for over 18 years as a heavy equipment mechanic by Herc, formerly known as Hertz. Erik had a strong work ethic and was an excellent family provider.

He met his wife April in the 6th grade and they were together for over 26 years creating a beautiful family with their 7 children. Through ups and downs, their love never ceased.

Erik was a skilled "tinkerer" and was an excellent mechanic who could fix anything in his "gravel garage" as he called it. He had a passion for hunting and fishing, and especially loved taking his sons out with him. Erik was a truly dedicated family man who planned all outings around what his children wanted to do. His family will forever miss their Sunday Fundays at the Flea Fair followed with voting for where they would have lunch. This was followed with Erik always trying to talk the kids into where he wanted to go. The list of things they will miss could go on forever. Erik was very generous and kind and would help anyone in need.

Erik will be forever missed by his wife, April and his 7 children, Brandon, Hunter, Ethan, Mia, Malaya, Cruz and Zander. He also leaves behind his parents Phillip and Teresa Brewer of Laceyville, PA; brother Shane Brewer and wife Robin, their children Logan and Rylie of Biglerville, PA; grandmother Helen Mitchell of Thompsontown, PA; mother-in-law Deborah Cruz, High Point NC; sisters-in-law Stephanie Pisula and fiancée Ron Strulic, their children Brad, Andrew and Ellie Pisula of Laceyville, PA; Kristi Cruz and husband Luke, their children Ozeio, Ever and Hadden of Vietnam; Joyce Borden and husband James, their daughter Amelia of Springville, PA; brothers-in-law Brandon Cruz of San Francisco, CA and Scott Pisula of Virginia. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Peggy Brewer, formerly of Laceyville, PA and father in law Napoleon S. Cruz Jr.

Erik gave the most selfless act of courage and human kindness by donating his organs to those in need.

The family would like to thank the individuals that helped at the scene, emergency crews, Towanda Memorial Hospital and Robert Packer ICU in Sayre, PA for their outstanding care, compassion and treatment of Erik in his final hours.

Funeral services for Erik will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 6:00 PM at the Skinners Eddy United Methodist Church with Pastor Vickie Ellis of the Beaver Meadows Church officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 3:00 PM until the time of the service.
