Obituary

Eva May Kohler, age 81, of the Wyalusing Personal Care Home, where she was a resident for 8 years, formerly of South Auburn, PA passed away early Wednesday morning, January 13, 2016 at the Skilled Nursing Unit at Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital.

Eva was born on June 16, 1934, in Petersburg, NY, the daughter of the late James Norman Crandall and Annabell Crandall. On January 2, 1975 she married Gustave Adolph Kohler III who passed away on March 25, 2005. While living in Evanston, Illinois in 1954 she was employed as a nurse's aide. Throughout most of her life she was a housewife-homemaker and mother for her family.

In her spare time Mrs. Kohler, enjoyed gardening; cooking; and watching television, with her favorite show being the Cops series, and the local news especially the local and national weather.

Eva is survived by her children Ronald Kohler of New York; Gilbert Kohler and his wife Darlene of West Auburn, PA; Fred Buchler-Kohler and his wife Nancy of Utah; Floryce Farr and her husband Lloyd of Laceyville, PA; Eva Farr of Laceyville, PA; and Rita Dennis and her husband William of Sugar Run, PA; step-daughter Mary Louise Kohler of Vermont; step-son William Henry King of Florida; grandchildren Chrisey (George) Hillgen; Jessica (Bruce) Thompson; Trudy (Mike) Rupp; Aimesworth Kohler; Mike Farr; Tony Farr; Bradford Kohler; Jamie (Corey) Sprout; Nicholas Kohler; Terrance Walters; Melissa Walters; Brenda (Thomas) Hodges; Chad Buchler; Anita (Todd) Jackson and Jada Vanderpool; also 19 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers Robert (Diane) Crandall; John H. (Frances) Crandall; sisters Helen Crandall Whalen; Ellen Marie Crosby; Millicent Crandall; Romona Crandall; and Pearl Jones. Besides her parents and husband Eva was preceded in death by her daughter, Harriet Kohler; and her sisters Jeanette Milne; and Carrie Crandall.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10:00 AM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, PA, with Rev. Gary Myers of the Biblical Baptist Church in Meshoppen, PA officiating. Interment will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
