Frances "Fran" Mary Bell, a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday evening, June 14, 2022 following a brief illness at the Scranton Regional Hospital.

Frances was born in Meshoppen, PA on May 1, 1950 to the late Vincent and Thelma Ney Taluba. She was a graduate from Elk Lake High School with the class of 1968. After high school she fell in love and married her soul mate Dave Bell on June 29, 1968. Together they had three children. Chanda (Bobby) Loyack, Sarah (Mark) Killian, and Dave Bell II.

Frances wore many hats throughout her journey on earth including employment at the Meshoppen dress factory, and Wegman's Market in Dickson City, PA, but was most proud of her work at the Tunkhannock Area School District where she ultimately retired.

She loved spending her time with her grandchildren Richard (Heather) Loyack, Bobbijo (Sean) Gamble, Conley, Meara, and Maille Killian, and great-grandchildren Paisley, Harper, Benson, and Remington Loyack, and Skylar and Bryce Gamble. She was so proud to be called Granny Frannie.

Frances was most at home in the kitchen creating recipes and cooking for family and friends. During family events or gatherings at her home, laughter filled the kitchen and the countertops overflowed with every food imaginable no matter the time of day. It's safe to say that no one ever left her home hungry.

Frances loved a good joke and had a contagious laugh that filled the room. She had a big heart, and was selfless. Frances will live forever in the memories of her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Please join us in a celebration of life which will be held on Tuesday morning, June 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 8206 SR 6, Meshoppen, PA with Lay Minister Vickie Ellis of the Beaver Meadows Church officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home, on Monday evening, June 20, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment will be at a later date in the St. Bonaventure's Cemetery, in Auburn, PA.
