Gail Armitage, of Laceyville, PA, passed away on Friday afternoon, January 1, 2021, at the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.

Gail was born on January 11, 1945 the daughter of the late John R. Baker who passed away on June 20, 1974, and the late G. Arline Chamberlain Baker who passed away on July 20, 2004.

For many years, Gail was employed for over 20 years, by Taylor Packing in Wyalusing, working in the boning room and sanitation. After her retirement, Gail enjoyed babysitting and cleaning houses in the Laceyville and Wyalusing areas.

Gail was a member of the Wyalusing American Legion #534 Auxiliary. In her spare time, she loved working in her flower beds and making her home her showplace inside and out.

Gail also loved spending time with her large and extended family.

Surviving is her husband of 24 years, Melton J. Armitage, who she married on November 8, 1996. Also surviving are her children, Tammy (John) Nataline, of Millsboro, DE, John (Anna) Beeman, of Hickory, NC; Dean (Robin) Beeman, of Concord, NC; Ronald (Tina) Pierce, of Waverly, NY; Raylene (Larry) Gemberling, of Tunkhannock, PA, her step-daughters, Nicole Armitage, of Wyalusing, PA; and Jamie (Nick) Cotto, of Barton, NY, her 15 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren, 7 Step-Grandchildren, and 2 Step-Great-Grandchildren. Gail is also survived by her two sisters, Donna (Skip) Driggs, of Wyalusing, PA, and Linda (Stephen) Lovejoy, of Charleston, WV, her brothers/sister-in-law, John and Ellen Armitage of Laceyville, PA and Joe Armitage of Wyalusing, PA, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of Gail's family.
