George J. Leslie, Sr., age 77 of Steam Mill Hollow Road, Silvara, PA passed away, Tuesday morning, May 14, 2019 at the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.

He was born on October 22, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA the son of the late Regina Stoger Leslie.

George was employed with the Steamtown National Historic Society as an Exhibit Specialist in Scranton, PA.  He was a lifetime member of the NRA.  He enjoyed hunting and collecting guns and coins.

George is survived by his wife, Kathleen "Kathy" Toomey Leslie, whom he married on March 17, 2001; his children, George J. Leslie, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA and David Leslie of Philadelphia, PA; his step-children, Michael Allen of Wyalusing, PA, Trisha Allen of Laceyville, PA, and Amy Allen (Ron Martin) of Scranton, PA; his granddaughter, Avannah Martin of Scranton, PA; as well as many nieces, nephews, and brothers/sisters-in-law.  Besides his beloved mother he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Leslie, and two infant sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 1:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 459 Main St., Laceyville, PA with Pastor Vickie Ellis of the Beaver Meadows Church officiating.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.  Interment will take place at the Beaver Meadows Cemetery.
