Gerald L. Fuller, age 85, of South Auburn, PA, passed away on Sunday July 22, 2018 at the Gardens of Tunkhannock.
Gerald was born on August 22, 1932 in Sayre, PA the son of the late William Fuller and Edna Belles. After completing high school, Gerald proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, as he was stationed in Germany during this time. He married the former Ruth Ann Love on July 7, 1956, and the couple was together for 51 years until her passing on May 30, 2008. Gerald worked for Endicott Forging as steel mill worker for over 33 years. He later worked at Wal-Mart in Tunkhannock, PA as a greeter for 15 years until his retirement in 2001. Gerald also worked with his family at the Love Farm in South Auburn, PA, the family farm is still in operation today.
Gerald was a member of the South Auburn United Methodist Church as well as the South Auburn Grange #1188. He was also a member of the Tri-County Sportsman Club. Gerald also volunteered his time to the Goodwill Fire Company and Fire Police. He liked going to antique hit and miss engine shows throughout Pennsylvania and New York. Gerald loved the outdoors as he would hunt in and around South Auburn area, he also loved to fish in Sullivan County.
Gerald is survived by his daughter Luella Ruhf of South Auburn, PA, son Donald Fuller and his wife Karen of South Auburn, PA; son James Fuller and wife Laurie of South Auburn, PA; grandchildren Nicole "Pooh" Ruhf (Lisa Bullock) of Laceyville, PA; Ryan "Goober" Ruhf of South Auburn, PA; Kayla Fuller of South Auburn, PA; Bethany Fuller of South Auburn, PA; Anthony Fuller (Kayla Mapes) of South Auburn, PA; as well as a grand-dog Tank. Gerald is also survived by his sister-in-law Vera Love of South Auburn, PA and nephew Steve Love of South Auburn, PA. Besides his wife he was preceded in death by a grandson Joshua Fuller, who passed away on April 14, 1995; nephew Chuck Love, who passed away on April 15, 2003 and brother-in-law Charles Love, who passed away on February 21, 2011.
A graveside service will be held on July 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Jersey Hill Cemetery with Reverend Pat Newhart officiating. A graveside Military Honor Service will be conducted by the members of the Rought Hall Post # 510 American Legion of Black Walnut, PA, the Dennis Strong Post # 457 American Legion of Tunkhannock, PA; and the Endless Mountains V.F.W. Post # 3583 of Mehoopany, PA.
