Glenn Brewer, age 80, of Tunkhannock, PA passed away on Thursday morning, January 23, 2025 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore, PA.

Born in Montrose, PA on June 13, 1944, he was the son of the late George F. (d. January 28, 1999) and Eva Banks Brewer (d. March 19, 2010).  Growing up in East Smithfield, PA, Glenn attended school at SRU.

Along with driving truck for Penns Best and more recently Meshoppen Stone, Glenn's main occupation was as a farmer.  Once operating a farm where the Wyoming County Fairgrounds now sit, farming was said to be his whole life.  If he wasn't on the farm, you could often see him visiting Pen-Mart on Russell Hill.

In his younger days, Glenn loved to ride his motorcycle, riding across the country and visiting every state that he could.  He also enjoyed other activities such as skiing, swimming, and riding bulls.

Surviving Glenn are his children, Tyler Kosmoski (Lisa) of Green Bay, WI, Heather Walter (Jamey) of Dalton, PA, Stan Jones (Kristi) of Mehoopany, PA, and Jamie Ross (Phil) of Tunkhannock, PA; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Lela Strittmatter (Larry) of Centreville, MD, and Louise Jense of Provo, UT; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Jane (Boice) Brewer (d. April 10, 1996), his son, Brock Brewer (d. May 15, 1998), his brother Harold Brewer (d. May 27, 2019), and his brother-in-law, Tom Jense (d. May 27, 2010).

A funeral service for Glenn will be held at the Sheldon Funeral Home, 8206 Main St., Meshoppen, PA on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Bucky Lavance officiating.  Interment will follow at the Jersey Hill Cemetery.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
