"Woodchuck" Woodruff

Glenn L. "Woodchuck" Woodruff passed away on Monday morning, July 22, 2024 at the Gardens at Tunkhannock with his loving daughters, Kim and Tara, by his side.
Born in Golden Hill, PA on March 6, 1951, Glenn was the son of the late Martha Vargeson and Ralph E. Woodruff (d. Oct. 5, 2011). Later in life, he gained employment with Procter & Gamble where he worked in the woodyard for over 42 years.
Glenn was well known for having a big heart, often acting as a chauffeur and getting those who couldn't drive to their destination. He had an excellent sense of humor and could often be found at the dart board or pool table telling jokes and having fun. He also had a passion for the outdoors, spending many hours trapping, fly fishing, and playing softball. While staying at the Gardens, Glenn was an avid bingo participant and a regular winner at the game.
Surviving Glenn are his daughters, Kimberly Cragle of Meshoppen, PA and Tara Burgess (Robert) of Hop Bottom, PA; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Godshall and Hannah Burgess; and his brothers, Tracy Woodruff (Beth) of Wyalusing, PA, Austin Woodruff of Laceyville, PA, and Verne Woodruff of Laceyville, PA.
Along with his parents, Glenn is preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd Woodruff (d. Jan 9, 2019), Gary Woodruff (d. Oct. 14, 2015), and Phillip Woodruff.
As per his wishes, there will be no services for Glenn at this time. His family would like to offer their gratitude to the staff at Compassionate Care Hospice as well as the Gardens at Tunkhannock. They would also like to individually acknowledge to the wonderful care provided by Bobbie, Jackie, Brianna, Chris, and Brian with Compassionate Care, as well as Lisa and Stephanie with the Gardens.
