Gordon M. Porter, age 77, Towanda, PA passed away on Wednesday evening, November 4, 2015 at his home.

He was born on June 16, 1938 the son of the late Denton and Aletha Meyers Porter.

Gordon had lived in White Haven, PA for many years when he was younger in an assisted living facility. He also lived in Athens and Towanda in a group home. He was happiest when he spent most of his life with Chris and Sally Beaurais in Warren Center, PA.

Gordon is survived by his brother Robert L. Porter and his wife Linda of Wyalusing, PA; his brother-in-law Daniel "Skip" Kithcart of Ulster, PA; his nieces and nephews Missy McMurrer and her husband Paul of Wyalusing, PA, Mike Porter and his wife Heather of Stevensville, PA, and Daniel Kithcart of Washington; and his great nieces and nephews Kaitlyn Schools and her husband Colton of Laceyville, PA, Denton Porter and Lauren Porter both of Stevensville, PA. He was preceded in death by her parents Denton, who passed away on December 25, 1982, and Aletha Meyers Porter who passed away August 30, 2013, his sister Mary Kithcart, and his sister Barbara Porter who passed away October 25, 2015.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
