Mrs. Helen E. Stevens, age 97, of Valrico, FL, passed away at the home of her son, on Friday March 25, 2016, where she has been residing for the last few years. Mrs. Stevens was formally of Retta, PA, just outside of Meshoppen, PA, where she had lived for many years.

She was born in Canonsburg, PA, on September 11, 1918 the daughter of the late John and Mary Chicarella.

Surviving is her son, Donald Stevens of Valrico, FL, two grandsons, Craig, and Christopher, and 2 great-granddaughters, Hannah and Emma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard S. Stevens, who passed away on August 7, 1997, a son, David S. Stevens, who passed away on June 26, 1997, and her sister, Julia "Judy" Hildebrand, who passed away on February 20, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at the Jersey Hill Church, on Saturday April 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM, with Lay Minister Vickie Ellis of the South Auburn United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Jersey Hill Cemetery.
