Helen M. Tinna Wells, age 84, of Tunkhannock, PA (formerly of Meshoppen, PA for many years) passed away at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, PA, late Tuesday afternoon, January 19, 2016

She was born on July 13, 1931 in Laceyville, PA the daughter of the late James Tinna who passed away in 1957, and Florence A. Brown Tinna who passed away on March 2, 1995. Helen grew up in Laceyville, and later attended the Laceyville High School.

Helen was employed for many years, at Bendix Corporation in South Montrose. She later became a homemaker and stay at home mom for her late husband, Paul R. Wells who she married in 1955, and their children.

She loved to go out for lunch and dinner, especially at her favorite restaurant, Red Lobster. In her spare time, she also enjoyed fishing. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family.

Helen is survived by her son Jim Wells and his wife Evelyn of Meshoppen, PA; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her brother Gerald "Tim" Tinna and his wife Mary of Mehoopany, PA; her sisters Gerry Remington of Tunkhannock, PA, Margaret Carney of Meshoppen, PA, Ruth Cook of Tunkhannock, PA, Frances Mallery of Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Wells who passed away September 11, 2008, her daughter Shelia Rhinevault who passed away May 14, 1994, her brothers Harold "Bim" Tinna and Earl Tinna, and her sister Jean Shauger.

It was Helen's wishes not to have any calling hours or services.
