Howard Lee Brown, age 52, of Laceyville, PA passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026.

Born on October 27, 1973 in Sayre, PA, he was the son of the Carolyn L. Wheaton and the late Robert Walters. Growing up as a child, Howard developed a love for the outdoors and strong work ethic that would serve him throughout the rest of his life.

Howard found employment as a quarryman, working first for his parents, then for Norton Quarries. Working outdoors suited his personality perfectly. His love for the outdoors and nature was well known. Howard spent countless hours wandering around the woods hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, or collecting fossils with his wife, Tiffany Brown. He also had a talent for drawing and loved to dance. Most of all, Howard loved spending time with his family.

Along with his mother and wife, Howard is survived by sisters, Debra Clayton (Robert I Clayton, Jr.) and Jenny L. Wheaton; his step-father, Dale Wheaton; his nephews, Robert I. Clayton III and Bryent E. Clayton; and his nieces, Kameal Clayton, Rosslyn J. Kirchner and Jesse J. Kirchner. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held for Howard at the New Hope Ministries Church, 1575 PA-367, Laceyville, PA 18623 on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 6:00 PM with Reverend Tim Barnett of the church officiating. A dinner at the church will follow the service.
