James Patrick Laurie Jr. passed away December 16th in his South Auburn, Pennsylvania home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 26, 1960, to James Patrick Laurie Sr. and the late Judith Thrash Laurie.

Jim Laurie loved spending time in nature, hunting, fishing, and going on rides during the different seasons. At night he would spend time with his beloved dogs Fen, Tonks and Albus. Jim enjoyed many careers in his lifetime but found his calling in nursing. He spent years applying his knowledge and compassion for helping others with a sense of humor. He was a mentor to many in the healthcare field and helped mold and influence younger generations of nurses.
Jim “The Nurse” as many would refer to him as, had a passion supporting his fellow health care workers, he loved to support nurses who were starting out as they pushed forward in their careers. In his memory a scholarship fund has been set up for nursing students at Susquehanna County Career and Technology Center in the nursing program. This scholarship is dedicated to Jim’s compassion and devotion to the nursing profession.
A small service will be held at the South Auburn Methodist Church on the 21st of March at 10AM.
