James "Jim" R. Russo, age 67, of Tunkhannock, PA passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, November 18, 2021 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.

Jim was born on November 6, 1954 in Philadelphia, PA the son of the late Domenic J. and Josephine Crusco Russo.  He was a graduate of Clear View High School in New Jersey.

While living in New Jersey, Jim was employed with Dupont for many years and at the Naval Yard in Philadelphia.  After moving to Tunkhannock, he was a Correctional Officer at the Wyoming County Correctional Facility.

Jim was a member of the Community Bible Church.  Jim loved to hunt and garden.  His whole life centered around his grandchildren.  He enjoyed acting crazy to make them laugh and looked forward to opening the pool to have them come visit.  He loved them so much.

Jim is survived by his wife, Gloria D. (Moore) Russo, whom he married on May 5, 2008; his children, Jason S. Myers and his wife, Megan, of Jersey Shore, PA and Heather D. Fave of Laceyville, PA; his grandchildren, Tolkien, Mary, and Harper Myers, of Jersey Shore, PA and Landen and Madison Fave, of Laceyville, PA; his brothers, John Russo of Mantua, NJ

and Domenick Russo of Swedesboro, NJ; his mother-in-law, Blanche Digan, of Williamsport, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Jim on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Community Bible Church, 327 Route 92, Tunkhannock, PA with Pastor Dave Stuckey officiating.
