Janet Lucy Jane Crane, age 40, of Laceyville, PA, (Golden Hill), passed away unexpectedly at her home in Windham twp., Wyoming Co., on Friday afternoon, July 17, 2020.

Janet was born in Poughkeepsie, NY, on August 12, 1979, the daughter of Raymond Louis Kappes, of Clifton Park, NY, and Victoria J. Lucas Kappes of Newburgh, NY.  Growing up in New York State, Janet was a graduate of the Arlington High School, in Lagrange, NY. After her graduation from high school, Janet also received certification in Nursing, Phlebotomy, and Bakery and Pastry Arts.

Janet was a homemaker for her husband, Jeremy J. Crane. In her spare time, Janet enjoyed quilting, crocheting, playing her flute. While living in New York State, she was a very active member of the Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Department, in Pleasant Valley, NY. Janet always loved being surrounded and spending time with her family and many friends. Janet was a member of the Parker Hill Community Church, in Dickson City, PA

Surviving is her husband, Jeremy J. Crane, whom she married on October 3, 2009, of Laceyville, PA, her parents, Raymond and Barbara Kappes of Clifton Park, NY, and Victoria Lucas Kappes, of Newburgh, NY. Also surviving is her children, Jeremy Crane Jr., of Ocala, FL, Brittany Crane, of Ocala FL, Zoe Dekle, of Clifton Park, NY, and Danielle Crane of Ocala, FL, her siblings, Stephanie Walker, of Newburgh, NY, Alberta (Frank) Sagliano, of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Lori Actisdano, of Dickson City, PA, and her twin-sister Jenny Kappes, of Laceyville, PA, her step-siblings, Daniel Snyder, of Clifton Park, NY, Joseph Snyder of Delaware, and Leah Snyder, of Philadelphia, PA and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services will be held at the convenience of her family with Rev. Charles Bishop of the Transue and Elk Lake Community Churches officiating. Those wishing may attend Janet's calling hours on Friday, July 24, 2020, at the Sheldon Funeral Home, 459 Main St., Laceyville, PA, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Interment will be at a later date.
